Client Services Manager – three positions

Location: St. Mary’s County, Charles County and Calvert County
Organization: Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland
Qualifications: A background in economic development, preferably in the Southern Maryland region. Knowledge of workforce and career preparation programs and services, and experience with federal laws and regulations pertaining to the Workforce Investment Act strongly preferred. Must have Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related human services field or work experience on a year-for-year basis may be substituted for required post-secondary education. Excellent writing, verbal and interpersonal communications skills. Ability to work independently, within deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities: Job entails utilization of job search and career counseling. Conduct participant intake, orientation, assessments and data entry as it relates to the workforce development program. Monitor participant involvement and progress in program activities including career planning and educational guidance, placement services and complete all required reporting and case management documentation.
Salary Range: $34,113-$ 39,365, Excellent Benefits.

Technical Consultant to WIN

Organization: Workforce Investment Network (WIN) for Maryland
Qualifications: General requirements: The consultant should be a self-starter, requiring a minimum of direction and supervision, and must be able to function effectively in both individual and group settings. Must have access to an automobile, and possess a valid driver’s license. Most activities, other than attending occasional meetings and participating in periodic conference calls, may be performed at sites and times of the consultant’s choosing. Required Experience: Experience in and/or strong familiarity with the workforce development field at the policy and/or operational levels is required. Required Knowledge: Knowledge of economic and workforce development trends, federal and state initiatives, the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), and programs and services is required. Familiarity with legislative processes is beneficial.
Salary Range: $5000 on retainer
