Distance Credentialed Facilitator (e-DCF)

In this age of technology, electronic communication will become routine as facilitators use more distance facilitation modes including email, telephone, online web information, etc., to work with their customers. This training, which leads to the Distance Credential Facilitator (DCF) credential, educates and trains facilitators in using accepted technology-supported techniques and related resources, knowledge of ethical standards, best practices,and the application of distancedelivered services. DCF training will address issues related to human development, career/employment, and overall effective behavioral functioning, with major focus on the skills, resources, and best practices required to deliver facilitation services via distance methodologies.

Requirements for Participation (must satisfy one or more of the following): " Be certified, in good standing, as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) OR " Hold a Masters level degree in a helping professional field; AND, have successfully completed a graduate level career development course, AND, be able to document 2,000 hours of career development or related experience.

Note: Successful completion of the DCF Training will be good for a period of 5 years. Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree may enroll in the DCF course, but must complete the described eligibility requirements within the 5year period to receive the DCF Credential.
