Monitoring Staff Performance

Appraising employee performance is perhaps one of the most troublesome tasks of a supervisor. No one really looks forward to it, yet, if not done effectively, a great deal of damage can be done. Individuals attending this one-day workshop will receive an overview of the four-step process for monitoring staff performance. The importance of setting clear performance expectations through the development of established work standards is discussed. Participants will practice identifying work goals with employees. They will learn how to select a monitoring system for each employee, and use it to monitor performance. Each participant will also practice giving positive and corrective feedback to employees in a performance appraisal setting.
