Whether managing staff or interacting with co-workers or customers, one of the most difficult things for many of us is to tell others what we need from them, and then, sticking with those decisions. Effective boundary-setting can increase productivity, teamwork, morale, and the bottom-line. When people effectively set and maintain boundaries in a work setting, fewer deadlines are missed, important work gets done, communication is more open, staff are more direct with each other, morale increases, and there is less stress and turnover.
