Yet the issues and questions surrounding the assessment process and the myriad of assessment instruments available can be daunting. Designed for the career counselor who wants to provide his or her customers with the tools they need to plan and land the job they want, the course includes the basics about assessment, including a general overview, it's purpose, underlying principles, and ways that workforce development professionals can use it effectively.
Through interactive, hands-on activities you'll learn about the different categories of information collected in an assessment process, how to use performance-based assessment methods, and the importance of using empathy throughout the process. Understand the role of behavioral observation in the assessment process and the variables that can impact interpretation. Learn what "customer-friendly" testing situation looks like and how to apply it.
