This course will focus on training and performance enhancement within organizations. Training concepts will be examined within the context of the supervisor's role in assessing training needs, and selecting appropriate types of staff development programs aimed at improving the performance of employees. Participants will learn about the importance of creating a supportive learning transfer climate, evaluating the impact of training programs in relation to on-the-job performance, and selecting appropriate training activities to accomplish specific learning objectives. The key concepts and components of Training Needs Assessment and performing assessments using a Job Aid will be discussed.
